About

Dr. Lipsitz believes in partnering with women to provide individualized, safe, and evidence-based care and empowering women so that they can make informed decisions about their health and well-being. She appreciates the privilege of listening to patients and fostering relationships with them throughout their lives, whether for routine or complex obstetrical or gynecologic concerns, pregnancy, preventative health, menopause issues, contraceptive counseling or problems requiring surgery. 

Dr. Lipsitz is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, an accreditation that she earned from The North American Menopause Society. She also recently received a certification in Culinary Coaching from the Institute of Lifestyle Medicine.

Before joining Heritage Medical Associates in 2007, Dr. Lipsitz worked for nine years as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Lipsitz is the current chair of the Obstetrics Innovation Committee at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown Hospital and she recently served as the Chief of the Ob/Gyn Department there. 

Dr. Lipsitz grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated magna cum laude with honors from Brown University. She received a BA in English and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She attended medical school at the University of Rochester in New York, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.

In her spare time, Dr. Lipsitz enjoys spending time with her husband and young adult children, practicing yoga, hiking, reading, cooking, and improving her French.
